With a cap of 8 million u can get upto level 40th

That with a theif, mage can only get 31 with that cap
and all these people thinking they could go higher as a mage.

Don't know if you are right, since I don't have an official rules book.

But even level 31 would not be too shabby for a mage, would it ?

Wasn't Jon Irenicus a level 27 mage? or was it a level 27 sorceror?
It seems that you have the potential to get more powerful than him.

Hi El_Kalkylus,

All I know is, that Irenicus supposedly uses Elminster's stats and in the BG I manual it said that Elminster was level 29, if I remember correctly. Boy, seemed that awesome back then !
