Ok, im really confused with this one, in normal rpg's the higher the armor count the better the armor, but in this one it seems that the more expesnsive armor has lower points! What give, did I miss something? Thanks.

its all to do with thaco and stuff try reading the manuel for a full explantion on this, but If you have an Ac of 0 and the person attacking you has a thaco of 5 to hit you they will need to roll a 5 , if you have an ac of -5 they will need to roll a 10 to hit you so the lower the ac the less chance you have of getting hit.

The game follows the AD&D 2 rules, but in AD&D 3 they have reversed the AC system to 'the higher the better'.

The 3rd edition games coming out (Neverwinter Nights and Pool of Radiance) will use the new rules where the HIGHER the AC the better

That will get me all confused, now that I have gotten used to "-" numbers being what I want...
