I spoke to lord whatever-his-name is and wanted to do the Windspearhills, however the game will not let me choose that location. I see it on themap but doesn't change when I roll over it. I have done other quests, and wanted to save it till later (cool Armor) now I can't get there.

Gray Mage,

You have to go to the City Gates before you can head out to the Windspear Hills.

Gray Mage: They have it right. Go to the City Gates first. Then when you want to leave that area, W Hills should be on the map to south east. No time limit to my knowledge. In my current game I did several major quests first and then WH. (Still in ch 2) But I know some people have posted that they came back to do it after going a few chapters ahead.
