I've been shut out from playing BG2 for 6 days now and the people at Interplay haven't responded to me at all. Any suggestions on how to get someone there to pay attention to me?

I am trying to end Chapter 6 - I've got the item I need and am attempting to return to the Underdark Exit. Whenever the game attempts to load that screen, it crashes. I can go anywhere else in the game and it works fine. I'm going crazy because I wanted to be done before I bought the IWD expansion and I can't play.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am no expert in things like this, but have you downloaded the patch for the game? That fixed a lot of bugs.
Otherwise it could be that some of your hardware is incompatible - have you upgraded your system or added/deleted drivers at all?

I have the patch - I even went and uninstalled the game and reinstalled it all new. Still crashes. I haven't added any new drivers or anything. Maybe it is jealous because I have been thinking about IWD?

I am in the underdark and experiencing the same problems- if you are getting the blue screen of death with fatal exeption oe errors that involve the VXD or VxD in VMM, you should get the most up to date driver for your sound card, that will reduce crashes by about 50% as far as the rest of it, if you have obviously saved right up to the point where you crash, go into the bg config and in the graphics area, strip all graphic effects, disable everything that is not absolutely necessary to run the game, put it into640 x 480 res, make sure advanced res's are NOT enabled, do the same in the sound area, then try to get through the point where you crashed. let me know if that helped you get thru, cause it has worked for me- pain in the rear, but i also have been studiously ignored by interplay- they got my money, but i never even got kissed!
