I've killed him and took the group's weapon's, but a short time after that (after i killed bodhi indeed), a mage appeared called "Harpell" sthg who appears and tells me i can't keep the ranger's stuff. I tried both replies i could give him, but in the two cases the mage takes everything away from me... i tried to kill him before he talks to me but there's nothing to do... I'm almost sure Drizzt's not dead or sthg like that, but anyway this mage will feel my vengeance if i ever see him again ... so what's up with the material ? I can't keep it ? or is there a way to get it back from the mage ? I had this cool Bruenor armor which gave me -11 CA dual-wielding katanas...

No. he is there to stop you from using it, no way to get it back after that and he doesn't appear again.

Lord Arathorn 02-20-2001 11:47 PM

Oh dear... at least I have my little revenge cos I sold most of the ranger's party's equipement before that, the mage will sure not be able to get those again

Yeah, it's pretty crude that they put that in the game, but it's cause everyone and their brother whacked Drizzt in BGI and took his gear. LOL. That's why they added the mage in to come snatch it back.

Well....just off the record, this Harpell guy was the one who presented the Scimitar Defender +5, Twinkle, to Drizzt.
(Or was it his cousin...?)

Hesperex 02-21-2001 04:42 PM

Yes it was one of the infamous Harpels who gave Drizzt Twinkle, I can't remember his first name though. (if anyone realy cares I can easily find out)

p.s if you don't know who the Harpels are then you havent read the Icewind Dale Trilogy

If you don't know who the Harpell's are, you may be very thankful indeed!
