I am currently in the asylum, with Edwin-the-man-turned-woman in my party. I got him to level up to level 13 (I got him only a few hours before coming to chapter 4), and the level up message reads "additional spells gained". (Normally it shows how many spells are gained for each spell level.) However, nothing is changed in my mage spellbook ... no additional memory slots for all levels, including lvl 7 spells. Is this a bug or something? Did this happen because the man who was supposed to change Edwin back to a guy hasn't appeared yet? Help would be appreciated, thx.

I'm not sure why you didnt get additional spells but you wont get any 7th level spells until level 14 (1)

Wow! He gets four? I didnt take him because he annoyed me but I may rethink that for my next game. I'm going to play a mage because I suck at them need to learn them better.

specialist always give 1 extra spell on every level
and edwins amulet gives 2 extra spells on every level

edwins amulet gives him 2 extra spells per level. I wish i had one of these...(in fact you can use it...with shadow cheater !!)

It doesn't have to do with the gender-bending plot because the first (or second) time I leveled up Edwin the same thing happened and we didn't even have the scroll yet. Don't worry--it hasn't happened again.
