I've spoken to him but he has nothing interesting to say. I thought I'd read somewhere that he had a quest. Do I have to invite him into the party to initiate it or am I mistaken? I've got the fallen Paladin quest but Keldorn hasn't been mentioned. Also Garrick and his mate are trying to woo some girl knight outside the Radiant Heart building. Is this just "filling" or can I get involved in some way?

What Garrick does is irrelevant to the main story, they are just there to provide "comic relieve".

No Garrick's just there for the heck of it (there are many more characters from BG1 hidden in the game; Eldoth, Garrick, Quayle, Montaron, Xzar...)
Keldorn does have a quest like almost all NPCs but of course you must first invite him to join your party to be able to do it.
Keldorn is initially mentioned by Sir Ryan Trawl of the yadayadayada Order of the Radiant heart as apart of the Unseeing Eye quest but after you've completed that quest you can still have Keldorn join your party

Where did you find Montaron? I thought that he got killed off by those harpers?

He is inside a chest in the second floor of the Harper's hold at the docks, I think the chest is located in the large bed room with lots of beds. He (his body) will only be there after Xzar is killed by the Harper assassin.

You have to have him in the party, otherwise they think your trying to robb them.

I've got the fallen Paladin quest and I need to see a bloke called Arang (sp) in the Bridge District.
I can't find him in the pubs and I'm told to get out of the two estates. Where is/was he located.
Also I've met Captain Dennis and gang but they won't speak to me. I understand he has a quest with a gong/harp or whatever.....gentle spoiler appreciated.
