What level of cheating is considered as being acceptable? I finished BG1 before I even knew you could cheat. I started BG2 and shortly afterward found this site and began to enjoy life a lot more. I dont think I would have got anywhere without some help from the walkthrough.
I don`t cheat to get gold nor to raise expierence levels.
But to have all those lovely items freely available was like setting a kid loose in a sweet shop.
The item that`s really cool is monster summoning wand and the wand of heavens. Until I found the wand of heavens I was considering getting rid of Jahiera (what a moaner!) but she`s good with the wand of heavens.
Some of the cheats dont work for me - like ctrl+t=heal so Iv`e used thousands of healing potions.
My character is Viconia (fighter)- she`s so lovely I feel real sad when she gets hit.
In the asylum I got something called a geesing string, the final part of a special bow. What happened to the other bit?
Cheers,
David

The other part of the Gensen Bow is located in the basement of the Tanner's house in the Bridge District, beware, the box that it's in is "trapped".
As for cheating, this is only a game and it is meant to be fun. Just play at whatever level you find to be enjoyable and have fun. Keep in mind that the game is a lot less challenging once you cheated, it is always a good idea to play legit in the first couple of runs.

there's a Large crate in the lower level of the Tanners shop in the bridge district, look there. if your cheating though just bring up the bow and equip it.

read a couple of the threads on the post I made about "ready to be a cheater" people had some really interesting things to say about the morality of cheating.
