I'm just thinking ahead here. ATM I'm in the Underdark and I've got the S.D Egg quest. I also need to top a S.D for its blood for the tanners quest. Will killing the beast affect my party in any way? Aerie has gone all starry eyed over it (they're meant to be good aren't they?). Or can I finish up with the drow etc, get back to town and then return to do the deed later? If this will all pan out by itself then please don't spoil, but if I only get the one shot at a S.D I'd just like to know before I leave.

Killing Adalon is not worth it. Besides the armor is lame and can only be used by evil. and yes, you can go back.

Thanks, but what about the exp' for doing Adalon and the exp' for completing the Tanners quest. There must surely be a fair bit to be gained.

um... NO! It aint bout exp! Well, if you want to, then do it! It just aint worth it.

Adalon should be able to smoke you in one shot. She's an ancient silver, so her breath weapon would do about 24d10+122. And by all rights, she should only give perhaps 24,000 EP, although I'm fairly sure it's more. Good luck, either way... I'm damn certain I wouldn't risk my hide for a few lousy EP.
