I am starting a new game at my dads hous and want to know what class and race I sould use. Also who should be in my party. I want to be a kensai cause in my other game I was a kensai duelled to a mage at lvl 7 (or wherever you start out at) and I still had thaco as good as minsc, so if I go pure Kensai, I could hit like anything. Mabey half orc cause of str. Any help is welcome

Well if you like good thaco and attack power a kensai is good but a monk is better, here is why:
1.monks get really good thaco without having to use any weapons(my thaco is -6)
2.really powerfull fist at lvl 17-19(can't remember when) he hits with a power of 1-20
3.monks get really good ac without armor (my ac is -6)
4.monks are fast with 4 attacks per round
5.they get special abilitys like quivering palm(if hit must make save vs death or die)
and stunning blow(if hit must make save vs stunn or be stunned for...sometime)
6.can have bracers.

ok that about rapps that up.

I agree, try the monk for something different. Better still, a totemic druid. Those spirit animals are just about undefeatable.
