Do you ever use it? I think it's pretty suicidal. After he kills whatever enemy he's working on he seems chase the PC. Why can't he control his rage like a true beserker, so it has some usefulness? One or two attempts was enough for me.

your only hope with him is either shapechange Mind Flayer and suck his brains out! or you could just open a and RUN!!
As minsc says " Run Boo RUN!!!"

I used it once, just for fun. I turned him loose on some kobolds or something. I let him rage and had the rest of the party run as far away as was practical. I suppose it's no worse than confusion or dire charm -- just run away and don't let the door hit you on the way out.
