Archlich do u mean Forgotten Realms fiction or BG2 specifically? I can give you a link to some free downloads of AD&D modules including campaigns in Netheril, Myth Drannor etc. Check out the Netheril one for some really interesting history.

Azuth, check Planet Baldurs Gate for some archive or the Fileplanet link on the site for some info. Not sure if it exist but you'll have fun finding out.
