I've gotten in the sphere (Act 3). This quest is far more difacult than I think is reasonable, but given many re-loads I've been able to get through most of it (?)
I've been stricken with a series of disasters- first, Jahera was removed from the party by a petrification spell- due to a bug, I think. Then, I stupidly thought I could complete the quest w/o her- (perhaps possible but maybe not). Now, I am on a mission to find "the heart of a deamon and place it in the giant gollumn in the middle of the sphere" Anyone know how to do this? I've found many deamons and killed em, but I don't know how to find the "heart" of one and take it. I have been unable to find a walkthrough for this qest anywhere (seems strange). I have however found some coweled wizards who kick my ass every time (with Jahera I could go invisable and kill em no prob). Now I appear to be screwd. Can anybody help me please?- Evil Iggy

You need to kill a daemon, not an imp or a salamander. A daemon is a large red creature with wings. You'll know it when you see it, because it'll be hurting you much more than an imp would. Use protection from evil 10' radius and it shouldn't be able to touch your party. Its heart will be on its corpse. Now, on to killing those mages; get your own mage to cast emotion and chaos into the room, then just take care of them from there.

cast protect form energy on someone and just walk near the mages when they cast do-dars wilting thingy they kill them selves. and in the middle of the screen there a weak deamon send some elementals at it and bam its dies (evently).

They won't kill themselves with horrid wilting. They're allied, and horrid wilting only affects enemies.

If your problem is actually finding the demons (I hunted all over for them the bastards) try going out of the sphere the same way you went in. You wont be in Kansas anymore......
