Hi, I'm not an evil character. Once I've spoken to the merchant in Umar, what do I do to find the tanner? Obviously I don't want the armor, but I want to kick that little merchant's ass and end the quest. By-the-way, what's this vorpal blade i keep hearing about? Can you find it in BGII? The Tanner is in the Bridge District in Athkatla. It is part of the Skinner Murders Quest. The Vorpal Blade is a 2H sword which is found in two parts. It is only available if you select the right response in spellhold (see Below for SPOILER). It has a % chance of killing with one stroke.

After you chase the tanner out of Athkatla you'll find him in Trademeet. A woman will approach you about it after you finish the Dao and Druid quests. The plot gets a bit funky from there, but you asked for it. : )
