Well any advice would be helpful at this point. I am running in circles trying to get evidence for this matter. All research has lead me as far as the tanner and Mrs Crom(something or other) and from there a dead end. Oh yes where is the entrance to the sewers on this level(Miniquest...The missing actor and his magical stone)

About the tanner, I was stuck too and the only thing I did was attack him. Then he confessed his crimes and ran (dont try to kill him now, you cant).

About the sewers, I suppose you are talking about the teathre (?). You can find it downstairs the tavern (you must have its name in your journal)

Have you obtained the elephant hide from the beggar?
Aquiring this and having the merchant ID it triggers the next segment in the Tanner's quest. I won't spoil more unless requested.

The sewers that you are referring to, are located in the Temple District. The entrances will be labled on your map as you expose them.
