ok folks, I'm at the end of the game. I've put the tears in the slots, Irenicus has come out and talked to me about our final battle, then stands there with his arms folded. I can stand there and beat on him all day and night without his dieing. Have I missed something? Is this a glitch? What can I do move on to the ending? Any help would be appreciated.

I think this is the bug i encountered when i was trying to get keldorn to rejoin my party after he spent the day with his wife.

This is what i did and it fixed it...

download the latest patch for BG2 and patch it again.
load a savegame that is before you see irenicus (before you put the tears in).

see if it works now.. it fixed it for me.

what happened to me is that keldorn who just stand there, not do anything, he was suppose to come talk to me.

i think it might have something to do with the bg2.exe corrupting. patching it again fixes it.

Well, have you tried lowering his resistance, casting spells, and turning into the Slayer?
