I need help how do you defeat Balor? I have tried all kinds of protection spells for my characters and nothing seems to work.. He still does feeble mind or whatever on my characters anyway and then kills us 1 by 1. Long range spells dont work either..need help

Weird, I tried using your link as I am not that proficient with searching and it gave me a listing of every message board listed with every message selected. Is it true that Balor is used that extensively. Truly amazing. LOL

If the Balor you speak is a demon, my way was to make my priest Chaotic Command on my best fighter, for me, it is my figh-mage, the main character. Cast it before you meet the demon and summon some monsters to decoy his attack and haste or improve haste yourself and fight him. You need I think, +3 weapon. (I cast enchanted weapon) to smash him. the others of my team do nothing exept for mages I have to cast all spell available to weaken the demon or to cast more monsters to surround the demon.

If it's Balor of the Underdark, keep your other party members away, turn into the slayer and kill it by yourself. Only time I used that 'gift'. Easy as Goblin pie.

I just hacked at him (magic didn't seem to work

and he died pretty easely no damage taken and only my thief got stunned

i just hacked him with my beloved barbarian...he killed balor with ease by himself

What I did was summon a bunch of monsters before I turn that thing that makes him attack. Then I immediately have one of my mages breech or dispell magic on him and start hitting him with magic while my two fighters start attacking with their swords. I had trouble with the battle too, but after a little experimenting I figured out what worked. It also helps to cast haste and protection from evil before you summon him.

The best possible way to defeat any demon is to simply use Protection From Evil.

Lowered his resistance and then BAMM!! A few abi dalzims sorted the job. Yes, I always turn to magic.

BTW - If you wondered how it worked - I used animate deads and monster sum 3 as distractions whilst I dealt out the lowering and killing.
