Arg I looked everywhere (obviously except one place) and I can't find the damn actual hammer!

Go to the Temple District, enter the sewers. On the right side there is a secret door which leads to an Illithid lair (so be prepared). In here you'll find the Hammer of Thunderbolts needed for Crom Faeyr

Holy Crap! Any ideas on how to kill those guys?
They just hit my chars a few times or they dominate them and bam! My guys end up killiing themselves!

There must be about a zillion posts on killing Mindflayers on this board so I suggest you read em all (use the search button)
Most hints are along the lines of 'drink Intelligence potions'(they drain your intelligence, when you hit zero you're dead - works on dumbheads like Minsc), 'Lure the mindflayers out one by one' (with a thief hiding in shadows), 'Go Improved invisible, Cast wand of Cloudkill in room, run away and close the door behind you. Repeat until dead'

One other thing, what must I have done for the door to the Illithid lair be unlocked? It was in a diff save game but I started again and now I cant open it? *confused*
