Hello true believers and disbelievers as the case may be,

Something catastrophic happened to my poor computer and I had to wipe it significantly...in the process...wait for it....I lost my Baldurs gate: Shadows of Amn and Icewind dale game saves (over 200 hours playing time each!! whahhhhhhh sob sob...boo hoo hoo...oh the humanity!!!)

To cut a long and whiningly pathetic story short, will some knight in shining armour+2/princess in iron brazziere+3 take pity on me and send me their save points for these games?!!!??!!! I was in the underdark just after entering the drow city in shadows of AMN and I in Dorn deep just after figuring out the circular table linked puzzle thingy which opens up a circular stairs going down to lots of wheels and cogs in Icewind dale. Anywhere approximately near these points will do.

I know it's not the same thing as you personalise your own characters and take pride watching them mill throught the ranks of experience (especially in icewind dale where your characters are personalised and cheekily named) but it will at least put off a stay in a high security mental institution for me if I don't get to finish these games after all the blood and sweat.

I'm not even sure how much memory a BG game save takes up or if it possible to attach it to an e-mail, but I would much appreciate the effort,

Cheers, you'll be on my christmas list next year,

Garlick the obscene (bradyga@tcd.ie)

Wouldn't you prefer to make a new party and build them up yourself
Keep items "you" want and like to use
weapons you prefer and have chosen to add weapon slots where "you" like to have them.

It doesn't take that long to re-play through BG
The more times you re play the quicker it gets naturally
Also you may have missed a few things that you would enjoy re playing to ensure you get/do this time round.

Just re start

Garlick ur braking my heart man, i know how it feels. I have restarted BG2 million times now and I suggest (like Tarox) that you just start a new game mate.

I'm afraid I have to agree with the others - restart. If I had any saved games (I have deleted game now) I would send you, but playing with someone else's choice of team is VERY unsatisfactory!.
Yes, it CAN be a pain playing through from the beginning again.... BUT by now you know there are things you would like to change about your teams! Take this as an opportunity, not as a loss!

Like the others've said, start over...
It hurts indeed, but you will regret not having your "own chars" later on :(

U have to restart...how sad...especially the abilities score which is a f**king pain in the a$$!!! That is what I hate about BG games in general as well as bugs that really derail this game.
As for ur story, I pity what happened to ur computer...no sarcasm, no offense.

I've sent ya a solution Brady. With Shadowkeeper, you should be able to pick up pretty much where you left off.
