I'm not ignoring your post, I just don't know the answer
It may depend on whether or not you had allready begun the romance dialogue and broken it off, not sure. Maybe someone else can answer this ...

I dropped Jaheira at the circus early on in the game. I picked her up late in Chapter 3 and finished her quests and now have her in Chapter 5. She hasn't initiated any dialog. Someone said I can't have a romance because I dropped her, is this true?

If you drop someone i think that pretty much kills your chance with them. think about it, would you chase someone who thought you weren't worth having in the group first up? I think not.

If you want Aerie, Jaheira or Viconia you need to stick with them.
