HOw the hell do you kill Balor???

For those that forgot: he's the demon that the svirfneblin leader wants you to kill.

I tried it several times in an ordinary way, but after the 7th time I've been fed up with it and morphed into the Slayer. That was quite easy, as though I had a loss of two points of reputation.

Dont give up, there are several ways to get him easily.
I assume you have a couple good fighter, and a cleric or mage.
If you have Jaheira with you, let her summon fire elementals to help
you, I think Balor can also cast fear or confusion at your party
so be sure that you have "chaotic command"-spell on your character,
if you have Minsc with you, get him berseked. And you can use
+3 weapons on him, and remember to cast "haste" before you fight Balor.
Dont forget to try different mage-spells on him(use "lower resistance"
if your magic spells dont have any effects on him).

Easy! Powerful magic just sent him packing. I went in with my mage summond some Fire elemntals and spider spawns to keep him busy and then casted a finger of death(7th lvl)on the ugly thing. Died right away let me tell you... The only weapons that can harm him is +3, and my Minsc could probably killed him but I took the easy way out.
