Is there any point to making Temple donations? Do you eventually get any benefits from it if you do give? I have a dim memory of playing the first Baldurs and I remember giving donations, but for the life of me I can't remember why. I usually don't throw money around so I must have had a reason. Och, too many games in my mind in between the last Baldurs and this one, they're all mixed together!! And the same for beggars. Do you get a reputation lift or something if you give to them? They seem to be everywhere with their sticklike hands held out. Just thought I'd throw these questions out there.

i know that donations on the temple give a rep boost but i dont know with the beggars ...GL

Give at reputation 13 and possibly 14 because these are the cheapest points you can raise rep. But, don't raise rep if you have evil characters in the group, or at least, lower it by shoplifting after you have bought the items you want.

There is a chart in the back of the book that shows the amount you must donate to acheive the next level of reputation. The higher your rep, the more you must donate. As previously stated, If you have an evil party or party members, it's the last thing you want to do.
There are a few people that you get XP's from for giving money but for the most part you are doing a good deed when you give to beggars. |
It'd be nice if you could steal from the church collection plate to lower your rep in a controlled manner.

Thanks, Relic. You are right, they have a chart in the back of the book!! I never noticed that! Well, it is the holiday season, so I feel charitable today!

I took a minor hit on rep 2 ways, 1. letting Viconia join, and two, fighting with the tax guy that was after Jan Jansen, both were only 2 points. What's he mean I don't have the right to remain silent???
