I took the info off this site about maxing ability scores and also creating items. I maxed out my guy's ability scores and then "created" the various tomes to boost the ability scores further (I didn't create any other items - I just wanted an ability advantage when I began). Well the tomes for STR, CON, DEX and INT worked like a charm - used them, no problem. However, while I "created" the books for WIS and CHR, I haven't been able to activate them. The program won't let me put them in my character's quick item slots, even though they (the slots) are empty. I have no idea why. Anyone who can help? so I can cheat in a nice balanced way

There is a link to shadowkeeper on the ironworks/baldurs gate II/cheats area. This program will allow you to modify your characters ability scores. Teambg also has an editor, but the last time I used it it still had some bugs (they were converting it from baldurs gate I when I last downloaded it).
