Now then... I have won the game a few times and this time I decided to have Mazzy in my group, and I do belive she can become a paladin, and I was wondering, seeing as how I am almost done with Chapter two, when this was going to happen.

AFAIK, she cant become a Paladin (shes a halfling for starters), but she is the closest to a Paladin that a halfling can aspire. Go Here for a full review on Mazzy.

There's only one party NPC paladin you can acquire: Keledorn. Mazzy's a fighter with some paladin-like abilities.

If she was to be compared to a paladin kit, she'd be close to Cavalier w/ ranged weapon ability.

if u really wanna have a paladin get keldorn of create one. I use the undead hunter and he hiself beat irenicus the first time alone and bodhi. I haven't played with mazzy though i doubt she can be a paladin cause she is a halfling.

Entreri" i cant be ure partner. 1.) i work alone 2.) your dead

This is all true, but when I went thru the shadow temple I accidentally got her in the area of my fireball... I hadn't seen her when I dropped it, and after trying to calm her down, I had to kill her, and Minsc went off on me for killing this diminutive paladin; something along the lines of the death of this paladin must be avenged, and then he went hostile on me, and I had to reload; and yes he actually referred to her as a paladin...

She aspires to be a paladin, but she is NOT a paladin. A paladin is a noble warrior that is granted divine spells by his/her deity. Mazzy is noble, but Arvoreen does not grant her any spells. Only humans can be paladins in 2nd Ed AD&D.

3rd Ed D&D rules change all this, btw.

She has awesome abilities yes, like haste, remove fear, strength. I might consider having her. Funky hippy hair though...

Well, let's compare her to Keldorn. Keldorn doesn't have any Cleric spells either, due to his kit, so he's left with his Special Abilities--just like Mazzy. Keldorn is much stronger, but there are so many STR-enhancing items out there that a character's STR score actually becomes irrelevant. Keldorn has 2 more CON points--true. But where Mazzy shines is her natural 18 DEX--which Keldorn would need the Gauntlets of Dexterity to achieve, and those Gauntlets are also needed by other folks (Anomen, Edwin, etc). Keldorn can use the Paladin weapons, but Mazzy can put 3 stars into a weapon.

true, but in the paladins handbook provisions were made for "demi-paladins", demihumans (elves dwarves 1/2lings, etc.. of pure heart who wished to be paladins but were unable, because they were not human. but IIRC they had to be fighter/cleric multiclassed
