Saw a question in another thread about the German version of BG II in comparison with the english version.

Well, I had the German version of BG and it was funny... and yea, the characters did speak in dialect although there was a distinct lack of Schwäbisch.

[The grammar was also better in the German version of BG in than the english in BG II... man, these people might be "native speakers" but they have no idea... I mean, you would expect that they would at least be professional enough to use some semblance of correct grammar instead of the childish mish-mash which they instead bashed out for the dialogues.]

OK... so give your comments on the different language versions of BG/BG II and what y'all find cool/uncool...

Minsc was much funnier in English
What does Jon Irenicus sound like in German?

Well i cant imagine minsc to be even more funny. No matter german version or not. Im happy with him. Jon irenicus, has a really sarcastic and ironical voice in the german version. You feel the evil in him, when you hear him speaking. I cant expect to face him another time (chapter 4 he survived and run away like a chicken) in order to make his evil plans an end.
