Sorry Ironfist but the Mask is so that you can see the invisible guardian, who stops you getting to the corridor behind the room, where the treasure is lying on the floor. I found Keldorn's true seeing also worked. As soon as you pick up the treasure, the other party appears and attacks.

That little party caught me off-gaurd the first time I did it. Close the crypt door behind you before gathering the treasure and you'll have time to prepare.

Whilst walking around the dungeon i bumped into some woman who wanted to find some detail on this strohm guys life all i could find was a dusty old text and 5 pieces of a burial mask.

1 is it the burial mask she wants?

2 is it used to open the door in the room where im constantly bombarded with fire

3 are the only 5 pieces of the mask

4 how do i put the mask together

any help would be good.

1 No, mask is the key to the treasury of the King, and she is also after the treasure.

2 There is an invisible Djinn? guarding the room, you have to kill him first

3 and 4: When you gather all the pieces they automatically turn to the mask

I actually never used the mask to kill the guardian,
i simply used the wand of cloudkill
Maybe I'll try the Mask next time.
