The game keeps crashing too desktop. Why is it doing this? Any ideas?

My friend at Microsoft says that Windows doesn't like it's graphics being taken over by the game, and on some weaker systems, it will cause a crash. He came over to my house and did something to mine that apparently "fixed" the problem. I do not know what though...

What exact errors are you getting if any?
