If you want to make it get four dog steaks from the front courtyard and click on the stove till it's done. But it's really not worth it. Look for other posts on the Umber Hulks and dog stew for better ideas. I think the cloudkill wand on a mage with chaotic comands works best.

There may be better strategies for killing the umber hulks, but making and placing the stew yields some nice xp. If you're doing that quest early in the game, it's probably worth going through the motions, regardless of how you kill the pests.

Your absolutely right about exp. Sorry, I'm a little fed up right now- (if your following my post too you'll know why). It's good advice.
