Er, apologies if this has been covered previously... but its 1am and i'm two months into BG2 'Shadows...' and I can't search through anymore message boards. Basically my hugely powerful party has just slaughtered the last Flayer (following the gladiator arena) and I was apparently supposed to let the fiend live so I could tag him with a collar. I didn't even notice Minsc chopping him up. But once Valygar, Minsc, Me (17th Lvl Blade) and Boo all get going its hard to stop us. According to the walkthroughs we should let him re-spawn(?). He didn't. Now I'm stuck. Can't open the doors. Can't rest and hope wandering monsters will chance our way. Nothing! After 2 months of meticulous gaming. If this is a bug - with no way out, I shall send Minsc to the Forgotten Realms offices a push the Beserk button. Not Pleased...! Any ideas please good folk?

Okay there should be a continuously spawning flayer in the room to the east (sorry not more specific [img]smile.gif[/img] ) (like, leave the room, come back, another one should be there). Or conversely you can change into the slayer which will allow you to open the doors.

Having plowed through a few walkthrough sites, they also say that the thing should re-spawn, although the 'Walkthrough-Online' (excellent site) says that the respawns are limited. Changing into the baddy-monster, has (I'm guessing), knock-on effects later or an effect on reputation at least. Still, if thats the only way...

You got the slayer change right, well transform into the slayer then do a force attack on the door should be able to force it open then transform back into human before it kills you.

yes it has an repulation lost -2 each use but you can regain it rappidly by buying it at temples or if ur rep is 20 then you should be able to get couple more rep points so... but if youre evil party and need a great way to keep ur rep down then use this [img]smile.gif[/img]

it has 25 in everything i belive, and is very deadly owns lots of critters but the damage you suffere accelerates 10, 20, 50, 100, then 1025 point of damage, there is a cheese where you can buff urself with damage reduction equipment and spells then you would be able to surive the 1025 point of damage then you remain in the slayer form with 25's in everything tho some of the other bonus will be gone :( but the str is still great

Hmm, this is something I have never heard of... What exactly do you wear to survive? Is the damage magical or what? [img]smile.gif[/img]

It would be kinda fun to run around in the slayer form all the time. :D
