Can you play the game as just your alter ego, the Slayer, once it's availible? Has anyone done it?

First of all you normally say if your gonna include a spoiler in your post. As for the question I doubt it. Your only the slayer for a short period and I doubt you would be able to do it.

After a while as the slayer it says: "You feel yourself slipping away". If you keep it as that you die/ get taken over by the slayer.

I thought I had put spoiler in the title, but didn't, so I fixed it. ;)

I guess my question is, how long can you remain the Slayer, and has anyone found it useful enough to use it as much as possible? I never voluntarily changed through SoA or ToB.

If I was evil I would definitly use the slayer (hey! it's powerfull!)

but alas as a paladin I think it would be very un-paladin like.

I went through the whole game as a paladin, and never turned (voluntarily) into the slayer. Minor Spoiler

When you're Romancing Jahiera, she says, after you turned into the Slayer for the first time, "You would have buried me down here." When you're romancing Viconia, she says "I would have to have buried you down here." Pretty good, Vickey! BTW, what does Aerie say???
