Would appreciate help on how to use the circlets to get past the locked doors..I have freed the slaves but there are several doors on my map that can't be opened, and the hint manual I bought says..."charm the mind flayer to open the door since you have the circlets"...but I'm standing there and wandering around to all the locked doors and nobody comes to charm! Thanks for any help.

the only thing i could do was to turn into the slayer and use that strenght to open the doors

A flayer will spawn every time you enter the room where you gathered the blood. Charm him. Make sure you save those circlets though! You need them to open other doors also! Don't waste them in a battle.

But its so fun turning into the slayer and becoming even more and MORE EVIL!
I've actually moved it into part of my morning workout routine:
1) Flog slaves
2) Verbally abuse the holy
3) Mental mapping drill
4) Conquer a village
5) Become Slayer
6) Recover
7) Repeat as necessary until evil quotient for day complete
