Playing BG2 really reminds me of the matrix. For example the guy says "are u saying i can dodge bullets". "Im saying that when your ready you won't have to". Hence first you need mirror image to dodge then u move up to abosolute invunerability. The sentient progams of the matrix remind me of Cowled Wizards which attack if u do anything suspicious. The storyline follows too. When Keanu Rives(spelling?) storm the building to save their friend. Well same thing with Imoen. And lastly playing the game makes you think that ur character is superhuman and can do almost anything from defeating an empire to gutting the Cowled Wizards.

That's assuming you are playing a Mage and have seen the movie before.
Monks players may be reminded of martial arts movies. Barbarians may be reminded of Conan the Barbarian. Paladins may be reminded of Highlander( well, to me at least, because I soloed, and there can be only one. ToB players will know what I am talking about ;) ). Archers may be thinking of Robin Hood. Etc... ... |
To be honest it didnt remind me of the matrix at all, if your looing for the matrix in a game go forMax Payne(slomo fighting)

Heh, well that may be stretching it a bit, but if it makes the game more fun for you, name yourself Neo and wear black Umm hmmm... I don't know what I exactly think of when I play BG... When I am soloing its sort of a anime-ish highlander-ish saga... I just wish my monk was able to challenge balthazar to fight ontop of a construction made of scaffolding.... Or on ladders.. Or something like the good ol' Kung Fu movies. :D |
yeah some scaffolding would be cool. like a kensai named mccould fighting with a katana on some scaffolding. no wait thats been done.
