now i have finished off all the trolls freed the slaves and stopped the cleric fighter guy from killing the merchant where do i go from there? Do i go to one of the villages or what. Any advice would be helpfull so i can continue on with the game.

Chapter 3 officially begins whenever you pay whichever side you choose for the information regarding Imoen. You'll still be in Athkatla, so any quests not finished when you pay will still be completable.
