Hello, I played wiz8 around 30000 times, and loved each game of it.

sadly, my disk1 is broken , and the price for this game on ebay is kinda high, though amazon has it for around 30 bucks,, i feel i can find it at a trade in place for around 10 bucks,, so it gives me something to look for..

anywho, i did find the wiz1-7 collection disk and would like to play 7

I've heard bad things about wiz gold,, too many bugs, ect.
though i'm not sure if i can get an old dos game like wiz 7 running on my machine,, maybe dosbox or something

anyways, is there some patch for wiz gold that a fan did or even sirtech to fix all the errors and bugs in wiz gold.. if so i'd love to play it

if not,, i'll try and get wiz 7 working

thanks

I got Wiz7 working in Win 98 no problem. I have heard you can get it to work in Win98 mode in XP. The problem is that they weren't consistent in the coding: some message wait for a key, others fly by too fast to read. WizGold is better but the viewing window is smaller unless you change monitor res. I didn't have any problems with Gold. You can use a walkthru with hints to get the missing messages, there are only a few you really need to solve puzzles.

That's just too funny, even though it may be true. :(
