Lets say I pickpocket an NPC for an item, if I kill that npc can he drop that item also even if I pickpocketed it from him?
|
No. There are a few cases of NPCs having more than one of the same item, but you can't get the same one you PP'd by killing.
Most interesting thing, i think, about PPing is that you can steal "0 Gold" and you get credit towards your next Skill increase for it. [ 05-05-2005, 05:56 PM: Message edited by: Scatter ] |
I guess that whether or not a given target has anything in their pocket - you still had to stick your hand in there to figure that out, so it seems appropriate to get PP credit for the effort.

What about the other way around? If a certain NPC drops an item when killed, can you eventually PP it?
I ask because of Ferro's key. I offed him once - just to get his key. After I determined that most of the stuff in his upstairs cabinet was of less value than the stuff I can buy from him, I went back to the previous savegame. I've been trying to PP his key ever since and, although I nick some nice stuff, no key. |
He'll give you the key if you give him something, a nice little snack...
Ferro is the hardest PP in the game, so not a big surprise you can't get the key that way. But it is available to PP, reloading to a point before killing someone has no effect on their drop list. |

yah, RPC's special items can be had twice that way, but only RPC's, not NPC's. With or without any Mods. And you can get the item the second time without killing the RPC. Right-click it into the personal inventory of one of your PC's.
