Lately, it seems like I keep running into trouble I've never seen before! This time it happened when I went in to go whack the Don. I never seem to remember what the appropriate level is to do this and I recall one time that I literally had to wait till he ran completely out of stamina and went unconscious before I could hit him at all! So I've gotten lazy in my last few games and just had a couple canned elementals do the deed for me... But this time it didn't work because any elementals, either canned or cast by my bishop immediately went hostile on me with no explanation, and this happened regardless of the number of times I reloaded. I hope this isn't a sign that my elementals will hate me everywhere I cast them in the game!!! LOL! Anyway, I finally gave up on the elementals and just used some superman potions, and the Don was dead in four easy rounds. Probably just a case of bad karma, but does anyone else have pissed off elementals?

One condition under which it can happen easily is surprise combat. If you start the fight while everyone around is green, the game will automatically include all the greens as hostile.
In other words: You enter, and the Don and Milano are green. You initiate combat, and start right away with making elementals and buffs. The Elementals form before you've done anything to the Don or Milano, so everyone is green. Once you start hitting the Don or Milano, the elementals join them in turning hostile, because they are, after all, monsters, and assume you've turned against alla the greenies.
You gotta do something to make the intended foe turn red before the elementals form, so they can tell the difference.
