Difficulty sleeping last night because I was seized by the idea of a forces of nature party for my next time through. True neutral.

Me as Totemic Druid- Summons can help with front line
Jaheira for fighting and spell casting
Cernd more for healing and spell casting
Minsc
Valygar

and? Who else?
There are no other ranger/druid NPCs are there?

Biggest problem is theiving skills. I recall that some priest spless can find traps and open doors. Would that work on trunks and cabinets as well? Do druids get those spells?

Is there a list of druid spells somewhere?

Can druids use wands like mages can? With sunfire wand we would have some more offensive firepower (literally).

Here are other possibilities to round out the party:
Viconia- To get those thieving spells and help with undead. Also, her evilness balances out Minsc's goodness.

Haer Dalis- Rogue skills for theiving. More fighting prowess. Neutral, isn't he? Perhaps teh rationale is he likes to sing songs about teh forces of nature. OTH, he is sort of other-wroldly for such an earthy party.

Jan- Certainly Earthy. I am using him now though, and I wanted someone new to play.

A challenge, sure. But also appealing to the RPG side of me.

Get haer-D'alis. and as regards to spell lists showing which ones druids get and which ones clerics get- i posted a week ago or so about this and got no answer :(

If I'm not mistaken, clerics and druids cannot use mage wands, only Wand of Heavens and Rod of Resurrection

In the BG 2 section of www.planetbaldursgate.com you can find a list of priest/druid spells. Another one is available at www.gamefaqs.com

They can use the wand of magic missile too. If i were you, i would take Jan. Better mage the Hear'dalis. Better thief then Hear'dalis.

well mages have a more diverse selection of spells than clerics and druids- a lot of their spells are more offensive too

Well, he just stated he wanted to use someone else. ;)
Oh, and a spell like "Knock" (Open locks) can also be casted by mages, it's a level 2 spell I think. [img]smile.gif[/img]
