A bunch of people have seen it.
Vi seems to be saying something but you don't hear anything.

Last night I saw something another symptom of the problem. I had met Marten and was trying to leave and Vi said "Missing Quote 92 for Vi Domina". ( no sound ) And it prevented me from leaving to NPC interaction screen. I tried again and the same thing happened. I ended up having to stop the game, reload and try again! This time I was fortunate that a different character chose to make a comment about Marten and I was able to continue on.

I remain mystified how anyone could play this game on iron man. It simply isn't that stable.

wow! i haven't encountered that one. that's no fun at all. however, if i did, i prolly woulda reinstalled the game. one thing i've seen, is that game files, whether map or sound, corrupt pretty easily.
too bad they couldn't stick around long enough to help support errors like that, tho. :(

I'm playing ironman. With autosave on. If the game crashes to the desktop, or would get stuck (didn't encounter your sitation yet), then there's the situation right after the last fight in your save file.

It would be possible to 'use this feature' to kill the process if something bad happened. But then, why should i play ironman if i wouldn't accept the outcome.

In addition, i make a copy of the save file after each playing session. Sometimes (maybe once every second game), the party dies due to bugs (falling through the floor when calling return to portal). In this case, i restore the save file, and maybe a few hours are lost.
