I am in the sea caves. I have come to a place to use the hook and rope. When I use it, I get crushed and DIE!

What can I do?

Sometimes when you click several times on a rope you will fall down, but I don't think that is the case here. Maybe try reloading your game.

Maybe you are standing in the wrong place??? Never happened to me.

Just klick the hook onto the bar and don't click again. It takes a second or two, but the thing activates your elevation by itself, and a second click is like letting go.
And the best place to stand for this is just under the hole, a little bit in front of it.

yeah that happened to me once. make sure you are standing so that your head is directly below the hole. then click the rope once and wait a second.

Holy crap, that would suck to get crushed in an ironman game because of this bug.

I got crushed in another way once that also seemed pretty lame: I was opening the crates in the upper monastery and was too close to one of the crate lids when it opened.

You can be killed by crate lids :eek: ? Then I had lots of luck during the years.

That's why I never play ironman. It's way too easy to get your party crushed through no fault of your own. There doesn't seem to be an elevator safety review board on Dominus, for example.

Funny. In all my games the only time I ever got crushed was when I messed up in the Umpani obstacle course.
