how many people killed rodan in crusaders cause i was pretty cut to find him in 8 when he is quite dead in the party i imported over

SecretMaster 04-08-2004 06:29 PM

LOL. Well, Rodan is needed plotwise for Wiz8, and I think most ppl loved Rodan. I never killed him, I am pro I.U.F. all the way. BTW, did u kill him for Shritis T'rang and give Shritis the medallion or no.

The finish-the-game panic may have make for a much less effective interface with imported games; there are a lot of sub-plots that could have continued better into W-8. There are really only a couple things that have continuity--the first responses of Z'ant, Kunar, and Bildublu. Even the recruiter at the Ump camp has no different lines.

yeh i killed shritis i am pro IUF to i just killed rodan for the sake of killing him like the rest of the NPC cuase they keep on running into me like would meet turan than walk a square meet ulgar then galeira then boregaurd then walk a square meet xheng xheng then tshober and getting only getting a 20 or so step cycle between the start and fisish of that so after that i just killed all the npcs for that

but playing wiz 8 and talking alot to the t'rang and umpani npc's i have kinda gone less pro IUF

yeh i have noticed alot of unfinished sub plots and so forth

*edit typo*

Oh, you killed Shritis also. I meant that Shritis gives you a quest to kill Rodan and retrieve the gold medallion he carries. But I know exactly what you mean when everytime you'd take a step, 1000 npcs would greet you.

You know whats funny though. If you did search person or whatever the spell was called, and Upkyr was bombed, it still said Yamo was alive.

I usually killed Rodan and Shritis both, but later when I could get certain maps. That game was so good I played it forever...umm, kinda like this one. I'm sure I tried it many ways. I definitely killed the mentad guy after the first meeting or two, did not kill Tshober as annoying as he was. This thread brings me back to the observation that some games almost seem like real life, having to make hard choices!

yes locate person pissed me off becasue i alwasy had all the sound audio and music al turned of so i would not waste huge amounts of time healing at the fountains. so with all these tunbred of it scroleed so fast i could not read it.

Yeah, the "scroll" problem exists in earlier games because they were designed for slow computers. Wiz 7 is still playable with my 800 Mhz machine. It is 4 years old, time for an upgrade with all the problems there.

Hmm, you know what i loved about that game. NPC's died in the real world, even if you didn't kill them. THats actually what i hated about Munkaharma. If you took to long, brother T'shnober would die, and you'd have to fight his ghost, and i had one hell of a time fighting that thing. Plus, it came back *shudder*

PALSSONMANIA 04-13-2004 03:25 AM

yes i rember those problems untill i decided to pretty much ner use camp and alwasy run back to the starter dungeon fountian the amount of time i amde that trip is isane i reckon i could do it with my eyes closed by now after that i ner got beaten to a map at all
