I just entered Arkina. Rescued Vi from the crash site and had her join my party. Most of her equipments I can remove except the stun mace. Even I give her a better weapon, she still won't give up the stun mace. Any idea how?

Try this: go to her inventory and pick up the mace. Then hold the mace over a regular party member's portrait and RIGHT-click. That should do the job. This trick can also be used to grab Saxx's saxophone if you want it.

Vi will use other weapons; if you don't actually want the mace, just put it in her inventory and equip her with something else.

on my game if you try that then every time you try to exit the character screen or change characters vi says "keep your hands off" or watever and stops you exiting. If this occurs remedy it by giving vi any party item then taking it off her again. And voila.

You can get another Stun Mace I think from one of the lockers in the HLL building...? I can't remember exactly but I remember finding one somewhere...

theres one on A-T road i believe, about half way down, maybe a bit more, in a very bushy area on the north side of the road, not hidden.

Umm, yeah, I forgot the part where you have to hand over another item before you can nab the one you want from the NPC. Only tried that once myself with Saxx, and that was quite awhile back.

Sometimes you can get a stun mace (or two) out of the HLL lockers, but the stuff in there is always random, so no guarantees of grabbing one.

Hi guys, Thanks for the replies.

I finished the Ultima IX a month ago. Feel kind of empty again, so I dig out the W8. I don't remember when did I finish W7, but I am sure it's 3 months after I finished U VII.

There is a forum for U IX which is still active, not as active as this one. I am reading the old posts now and learning lots of strategies I didn't know in W7. This is one hell of great source for CRPG players. Thanks again.

And then, grab any item from the party inventory and give it to Vi. You can take it away normally.
