Is there anything you can do with the blue flowers that appear after you take Marten's Idol & get knocked out by Crock's gas attack? Besides have people say, "thanks for your kindness!"?

Not to my knowledge. As far as I know they're only a clue so you know who kidnapped your party member, since the same kind of flowers are growing outside of Crock's house.

Good observation. I thought it may be an unfinished quest as in "get a blue flower for the Rapax Queen to earn her trust".

Aha! Good point. Although, I thought the note on the base of the idol that says, "Crock has kidnapped your teammate--" err, that is, "Beware the Crock!" was a pretty strong clue.

They needed to give a fairly blatent hint like that. The flower alone might not help since if you weren't observant you wouldn't make the connection.

Has anyone tried killing Crock to see if you can get your comrade back that way?

Yes, you can kill Crock and get the party back, but you lose the 75K XP for Brekek quest. BTw, the Brekek quest resets. You could repeat it indefinately. Not that anyone would want to...

No, after Brekek is killed , the quest never returns ( latest patch )

Hmmm. I wonder what would happen if you kill Croc before you grab the idol in Marten's Bluff?

There wouldn't be a kidnapping if you kill Croc before getting to the idol. If you kill him after the kidnapping you will find your party member in hes chest upstairs.
