Two questions :

If I do not join the Umpani

- will they become hostile if I steal the flag from the mast at the entrance to the umpani base camp ?

- is it possible to reveal the traitor to Balbrak later to get the EXP and then kill him to get the fake again ?

err..AFAIK you can buy the flag from the umpani merchant ( forgot his name ) and you won't hostile anybody.

When you reveal the traitor. he's gone forever.

I also know that Sgt. Kunar is gone forever. My question was : Will Balbrak later drop the Fake pass again when I kill him after I got the EXP ?

Why don't you just kill Kunar and then turn him in? That way you get the XP and the pass. And killing Kunar oesn't make the umpani hostile.

you can get the (IIRC) 300.000 Exp points from Balbrak if you simply kill Kunar ? O.K. you can also get the Fake that way but it's easier to tell him the words from Z'Ant.
Balbrak wants the Fake pass as proof before he spent the EXP points ( or is there an other way to get them ? ), so I must kill him after that . I never played that way before ,so I need to know : Does Balbrak drop the Pass after I killed him or is the Fake gone forever ?
I think I can get the "real" Top Secret Pass later by killing Rodan, but I don't want to wait until I clean the Rapax Away Camp to receive it.

Why steal the flag? Even if you don't sign up, you can buy the flag from Kunar, and it's not that expensive. I know he carries a flag on him, because I sometimes picked it from his pocket. Whether or not he drops one at death, I don't know, because I never killed him. I always joined both sides and turned him in. And if you do turn him in, you won't get a flag; he just disappears from the store, never to be seen again.

If you want to try stealing the flag, save the game first, just in case.

Yes, the Umps turn red if you take the flag from Panrack.

Only if the guy guarding the flag is alive. in one of my games he
meet an untimely death and i took the flag and everyone was still kool.
