not to take anything away from rezdude's great work in the "what would you like..." series of threads, but i'm wondering what races you feel are missing or overlooked?

for me, the dwarf is gimped and the dracon and lizzie are too similar.

so i'd like to see decent dwarves, and an ogre race to replace the lizzie.

also, it'd be cool to play a trang.

How about a race based on cellulose, i.e., a plant species? An Ent comes to mind. Maybe call them Florans or the Liana. Slow, clumsy (low dex), very strong, natural resistances against everything but fire. Can do elemental magics, earth being the strongest. Rare but special armor and weapons (Bark Shield, Branched Fork, Pheremone Spray,...?).

Yeah i agree that the dwarves arnt as good as they should be. rarely do i ever use them and that is something id like to see improved. also, there are plenty of races in LOTR that i would like to see in the game, such as the orc and the urk-hai (did i spell that right). the orc would be fast and nimble making them good ninjas, rouges or samurais and urk-hai would be awesome power houses as fighters.

How come no one does any thing on centaurs? Terrific punch [kick???](monk), natural archer (ranger), good speed and strength as well as intellegence, possible magic user, or not if you do Piers Anthony. Could be fun.

I missed Rattkins in W8 , especially for a Rogue . I also believe that a Rynjin could make a good choice for a Monk or Psionic and IMO they look great. In other RPG's I liked Minotaurs too ( strong axe specialists with priest abilities ).

I would like to see Half-Elves and Drow Elves and how about Half-Orcs and Goblins? I too would like to see the Dwarves re-made with better attributes. They definitely have been gimped in Wiz 8.
