I'm still playing Wizardry 8, but a friend of mine found a never used copy of Wizardry 7 and gave it to me as a B-Day gift, becuse I never played Wiz 7 ( a long story). What are folks best suggestions for what progam(s) I need to down load to my system to make Wiz 7 play? I ( unfortunately) have Windows XP, and it's never going to work ( the systems too new and loaded).
Thanks for any feedback from the creative minds out there.....

There is a patch you have to download to make it playable on Pentium-class machines. Go here and follow the links to get the Wiz7 patch.

Also, there is a Wiz 7 for Windows (Gold version?), but the view is small. The game play is worth it, you can ask here for help. I semi-recommend the original if you can make it work. Also a large game with neat class changes!

Concerning HolyWarriors Link, I can't recommend it. With a newer machine Moslo isn't working too well with wiz 7 (not at all here actually). What I can recommend is DosBox, a dos emulator for many platforms which also has a windows version. Vogons (Very old games on new systems) has some help on wizardry in a dosbox.
