okay, im in the umpani base camp. i camped one time and i got about 345 gold. does anybody know why. i really want to do it again and again and again.

I don't remember getting any money for camping there.

sometimes, after a fight, there is a surviving guard or two who were poisoned. over time, if they are not healed, the poison can eventually kill them.

so, it's possible that a poisoned guard succumbed to his condition while you camped, and you received notification when you awoke.

do you recall having any combats just before, perhaps involving plants or spiders that can poison?

well i do recall ravenmaster telling me that one time he camped with the blarney stone amulet equip and got some gold. ever hear of this?

Rezdude03 10-15-2003 07:46 PM

DOH! sry ravenmaster! i forgot this was YOUR post. that was exactly what i was talking about. my bad.

Loudhy 10-15-2003 11:53 PM

That would be very interesting for me, too .

I often watched combats between Greater Seekers and the Umpani Patrols ( hide myself behind the privates ) and let them fight for me. The seekers killed many of the privates, sometimes the managed to kill a sergeant and after combat many were poisoned. But no one of the poisoned Umpani later spent so much gold.

I'm in urgent need for money with my current party so I hope someone find an explanation for this effect.

speaking of the blarneystone, loudhy, it might be worth having one or two of those on one of your characters so that you get better value at trading time. of course, uncursing could get expensive...

If you are worried about uncursing then run a bishop.

Hi dplax,

im running currently a party with fighter, rogue, 2 gadgys and two bards.
No chance for create potions and no chance to uncurse myself.

Greetings

loudhy:
I was saying it in general that bishops can uncurse, and did not mean the comment for your party. So if my post was misunderstandable then I am sorry.
