does anyone know where to find the spell scroll Chain Lightning? I really need it for my mage, and can't find it anywhere. Also, is there a place where I can find some good 7th level spells?

Try Lady Yuth in the back of the adventureers mart. shes not a bonus mage, shes in every version and carrys most low and medium level scrolls.

There are also a variety of medium levels scrolls hidden around athkatla - hit TAB and youll see them highlighted. there are a couple in niches on walls and such like. you need ToB for TAB to work though.

That's a but tricky, because most scrolls you find as treasure are random, so I can't say there'll be one in that chest or anything. Ribald generally sells high level scrolls, and often it depends what level you are whether or not a scroll merchant sells certain level scrolls. I know when the Adventure Mart is restocked after the underdark Ribald has a lot more high level scrolls (up to level nine).

I guess just try the scroll merchant at Waukeens, Ribald, and also if you've got ToB installed go to Watcher's keep - the merchant outside there has lots of good spells - actually I'm sure she'd have it (you don't have to go in, just accept the quest, buy the scroll and leave).
