for me it was nessie and some level 26 (also) spellcasters in rapax areas

All the powerful monsters are in AP.
I've foughten level 38 creature called D'jinn of the Blade. Its a fighter and really easy for a party of 7 who lives in a world of no cosmic lords, no D.S. and a dragon named Bela that died and reappeared.

All the random mobs in AP will level up as you do, right on up to 50. 50 is the max monster level, but you can keep leveling after 50. (your Character level won't go up, but you can have as many Classes as you want up to 50 each--keep getting more HP and Attribute/Skill points)
