My first time through the game, I killed the T'rang and Yamir said he'd meet me at ascension peak. He doesn't show up. Second time around, a get the T'rang and Umpani to join forces, both of em tell me to go to Ascension peak and meet them there. They don't show up. Is it a bug, do they ever show up, or was it budget cuts?

When i got to ascension peak the first time no one was there (allied with noone). The second time there was 1 dead trang and one dead umpani laying together( allied with umpani ). I cant bring myself to ally with the trang so i dont know what happens with that alliance. Anyways, ive never seen an umpani or trang alive at ascension peak.

Yeah, I know. But if you make them allies, there are no dead bodies.

No matter how you play it out, regardless of what alliance(s) you make, no one arrives at the peak to help you. Some players have speculated this is because the road to the peak is blocked. Others that the bodies are the remains of those who came to help you.

Personally, I suspect it was that old bugaboo, not enough time for the developers to add it in.

Whatever, you have to do the end game on your own.

Yeah, I think its budget cuts, but atleast now I know for sure they won't come.

Yeah, it seems fairly clear that someone made the decision to get the game out the door before the programers had time to finish all the story lines. Someone should make a list of all the 'artifacts' (i.e. green frogs, rubber boots) that are in the game - and their theory on what the designers planned to do with them!

I'm just about ready to take on Ascension peak too and now I find out that the Umpani/Trang alliance that I helped build at a tremendous cost of time won't do a dang thing.

Does bela show up at least in the final?

I'm also finding out that my 19 level party might be too weak for AP. I guess I was overloaded with NPCs and characters. Should I start over again?

Yes, Bela will most definitely meet you at the entrance to the Cosmic Circle; have no fear on that score. However, you will have to do the Peak on your own.

As for the T'rang-Umpani alliance, think of all the experience you accrued by following both lines in the game.

As to being too young to Ascend, L19 is not a record, it's fully possible, as long as your Skills and other stats are enough...Then, don't start again until you either make it or give up!

Well hehe I actually started over again this time with just 4 in my party.

I've been reading a lot about bishops and strategies on this board so I plan to max out on that character class.

My L19 characters were good but considering all the mistakes I made I think I could do a lot better. Except for axphixiation spell, I didn't have any uber kill all type spells on any of my other characters.
