Okay, I'm not a tech person with computers so will someone help me out. Just installed wizardry 8 on a computer with Windows Xp. We have surround sound speakers (don't know which type, but the speakers say Creative and the a is a V) and they are black. i don't know if this helps. I am getting normal music and stuff, but I cannot hear monsters being hit and attacking. If anyone knows, plz help.

I got the same problem as you do. before you start play the game there is a configuration/option somewhere. tweak the thing around and you can start hearing monsters sound again.

Where is this configuration/option. Is it in the actuall game or a different file. I've tried the Audio options for wiz8 that you can change in the game itself under options, still does nothing.

If you go into programs/ sirtech/wizardry 8/ and click on "3d setup", you may be able to configure your setup better.

I tried that, but like I said, I am no good with comps and I think it is set on the right sound system.
